2012 in Review

I know, I know these posts are cliche, BUT I love going back through all my pictures and reviewing the year.  So, without further adieu, here are some highlights of 2012.

January
  1. Ran the Brazen NYE 10k/New Years Day 5k for a double medal.
  2. Celebrated the big 3-0 in Las Vegas!
February
  1. Celebrated my good friends wedding.
  2. Rode my bike a lot.
March
  1. Ran Badger Cover 10k (no recap).
  2. Ran Emerald Bay Across the Bay 12k (no recap).
  3. Celebrated at my sister's bridal shower!
April
  1. Ran SacTown Credit Union 10 miler (again, no recap).
  2. Many more miles on the bike training for ALC.
  3. Back to Las Vegas for my sister's bachelorette party.
  4. Beat 2 hours at the Pleasanton Half Marathon!
May
  1. Wine Country Century with Samantha.
  2. Diva Half Marathon with these girls.
  3. Maid of Honor in my sister's wedding.
  4. Celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary in Half Moon Bay.
June
  1. ALC
  2. First (and probably only) placing at a race.
  3. Shaving 28 minutes off my previous Olympic triathlon time at the Silicon Valley Olympic Triathlon.
July
  1. Hiking in Yosemite.
  2. Completing my second Half Ironman at Rev3 Portland.
  3. Spending a weekend in Pismo Beach.
  4. FINALLY getting to run the San Francisco Half Marathon.
August 
  1. Focusing my attention on trails (and getting banged up in the process).
  2. Riding the Tour of Napa Metric Century.
  3. Vacationing on Kauai and running the Kauai Half Marathon.
September
  1. Moving to a new house.
  2. Riding my favorite event ever - Levi's Gran Fondo.
October
 
November
 More trails!

December

No real training, just running for fun and maintaining a base and enjoying the holidays!

I feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful year and wonderful friends and family to be apart of it.  I am really excited for all the fun that 2013 will bring.  Happy New Year!
